Still working on the yard...

G is working on the front yard - making progress.

June is a lovely time in Seattle, everything is nice and green.

And when O woke up from his nap, he was just so darn cute I couldn't handle it:

Twin falls on Mother's Day!

We went for a hike on Mother's day this year.

Afterwards, we stopped at the beach for a sunset dinner picnic. We played on the swings for a while....

Aquarium visit with Auntie A

We went to the Seattle Aquarium with Aunt A when she came for a visit - right at the entrance is a fantastic exhibit called "Window on Washington Waters". It is a 120,000-gallon exhibit, and we love to stop and watch the scuba diver. Here, she is feeding one of the wolf eels...

and showing us what she is feeding the eel...

And then we went on to our favorite exhibit, the octopus. The octopus was out, swimming around, a rare treat!

Aunt A with G and the kiddos, waiting for the octopus talk to start.

They also had some basket stars on display - I absolutely adore these animals. They look like fractals...

Mt Si

G took a quick day hike up Mt Si one day, and snapped these pics...

Gorgeous!

Tulips!

G and I snuck out for a child-free afternoon and went to look at the tulips in Skagit County.

The colors are absolutely gorgeous...

G's birthday

During the day, the kiddos were running around the yard.

Later that night, we had some friends over to celebrate. After dinner, G decided that we should break ground on our yard improvement projects. Our neighbor came over with jackhammer (!?!) and we got underway, tearing up the slab.

The beginning of the yard work has begun!

Getting ready for baby #2!

My best friend M came into town to visit for a week and a half before leaving on her South East Asia adventure. She was hoping to be present for the birth of baby number two, since she was so instrumental in the arrival of baby number one.

Here we are, eating spicy food (she tried almost every trick in the book to get the baby to make an early appearance...)

Then we went for the 40 week check up - baby sounds good, no signs of coming out though...

Big belly in stripes...

We walked Greenlake, several times...

Fi, hamming it up for her Tia...

Fi and Tia...

G and the giant belly, again walking Greenlake...

Still no baby though!
