Fi and A have been taking ballet classes and had their first recital! They did such a great job... I tried to load the video but it would not cooperate with me, will try again soon.

Sorry kiddo, that your golden birthday was when you turned three. I promise you will have many fantastic birthdays in your future!

Fi in a Bag. Ha!

So someone figured out that she could fit nicely inside a paper bag.

The entertainment lasted for a good fifteen minutes.

Another reason why I love Trader Joe's.

No, thank you!

A few Fi-isms of late:

At childcare, another child was poking her in the head. She turned to him and said, "No, thank you." He persisted in poking her in the head. She said, "I said 'No, thank you', I don't like it!". The teacher stepped in and praised Fi for such clear communication, and stopped the poking.

In the car, the sun came out (for about a minute). "It's too bright, mama, too bright!!" Oh boy.

In a similar vein, I had Fi try on some of her clothes for an upcoming trip to CA. I put some shorts on her with a tank top. She looked down at her bare legs and said, "Need pants mama!". I tried to explain that shorts are pants you wear when it's hot out - but then had no clear explanation for what "hot out" means. She'll have to find out.
