Sacto Farmer's Market

We went to the Sacramento farmer's market early one morning with my aunt L. Here are L and Fi, both being ridiculously cute as well as selecting flowers.

Califiona in July

 We drove down to Califiona for the Fourth of July holiday, mostly to visit family. My sweet sis is getting hitched in September, and they want to have their patio complete as the wedding is happening in their backyard. We came to help! 

 My awesome G came out to give a hand cleaning old bricks even though he had a nasty summer cold. What a brother-in-law!

My sis excited that we are all working on her patio in 115 degree heat! Okay, it got that hot later in the day, that is why we were up at 6!a!m! to work on this in 85 degree heat. Us Northwesterners are simply unprepared for the heat that is Sacramento....

 Once we were done with the patio, we headed out to view the parade in East Sac. I even managed patriotic colors for the kiddos!

After the parade,  we went to a neighborhood BBQ, that just happened to have an inflatable water slide. This is unheard of in the PNW, but so glad they did, the kiddos loved it.

Then, there is this extremely proud mama - I mean look at these two. I love these monkeys.

Papa and O went down the slide together, they were both soooooo excited!

And my oh so darling girl. I mean really people. It is crazy how much I love this sweetheart.

Aquarium visit with Auntie S

 Our favorite place for a family visit! We went back to the aquarium with Aunt S and Uncle G -

We had fun in the touch pools.

And in the dome. Fi loves the aquarium!

Aquarium visit with Auntie A

We went to the Seattle Aquarium with Aunt A when she came for a visit - right at the entrance is a fantastic exhibit called "Window on Washington Waters". It is a 120,000-gallon exhibit, and we love to stop and watch the scuba diver. Here, she is feeding one of the wolf eels...

and showing us what she is feeding the eel...

And then we went on to our favorite exhibit, the octopus. The octopus was out, swimming around, a rare treat!

They also had some basket stars on display - I absolutely adore these animals. They look like fractals...

Breakfast with Oma and B

 We had time to quickly stop and have breakfast with Oma and B. I love the time that O shared with B - so sweet!

And of course, Oma with Fi. These two are awfully adorable together.

Papa's Birthday

We had dinner for my dad at my sister K's house - she fed us well and had such a nice spread!

Christmas

For Christmas, we traveled to NCal to visit family. The tree was lit and waiting for us!

My sister K, her husband S, and baby girl V came over for Christmas eve...

Fi asked if we could leave a piece of toast for Santa, instead of cookies. Seemed like a good move to me!

Christmas day we went to Oma's house. It was a little crazy...

Fi got a new music box too! She loves it! She loves her Oma too!
