D & G Got Married!

Our very good friends D & G got married. It was on a remote island in the San Juans - we had to take a ferry to Friday Harbor and then the next day take a sailboat to Stuart. The weather was absolutely perfect and it was pretty much a picturebook wedding.

Here we are, waiting at the ferry terminal.

Riding the Elwha!

It was so windy out on the deck, we were laughing so hard....

The first night we made pizza and Fi read a book to O and his buddy L... so damn cute...

While E and G went off to the wedding on Stuart, Tia toured San Juan with the kidlings. Look what they found!

Meanwhile, on Stuart Island...

G marrying D and G.
On the sail back to Roche.

Back to Roche for the reception.

Sunset was gorgeous, making everything glow....

Dinner time!

It was a lovely evening...

Married!

Besties + tequila.
The next day we took the ferry back to Seattle.

O might be hungry... don't tease Tia!

Hey Tia, whatcha got in there?

Oh, tickles. Not was I was thinking, exactly...

Fi and her hot kicks!
It was an amazing experience all around - congrats to the happy couple!

Girls' Night Out!

Since Tia was in town, and mama was no longer prego - a girls' night out was long overdue. We went to Spinasse for dinner - it was delish!! Can't wait for another Tia visit so we can work our way through the culinary delights of Seattle....

Yum!!

A Trip with Tia to the Aquarium!

Tia came for a visit to help us out with a wedding. Our good friends D & G got married, and since G was the officiant, we needed some extra hands. Before leaving for the San Juans, Tia and the kidlings went to the Seattle Aquarium for a couple hours of underwater time...

Tia and O ready to see some fish!

Fi entranced by the scuba diver and the wolf eel.
Then we spotted the touch pools - she talked about the sea stars for hours after.

Who taught this kid to smile?

Octopus. By far the top of the list for "must-see" at the aquarium.

Salmon ladder!

Grunt sculpin. Relative of the sea horse. Such a cutie!

Strawberry anemones make me want to go diving....

Fi meets a rockfish...
Little dude out cold. It was a big day!
